Who hates being an RN? |
Anyone regret becoming an RN? I'm 21 and im about to apply to nursing school...finished all the pre reqs...and i am hoping and praying that I like it once I get out of school.... so im looking for some guidance here guys. There can be nothing worse than getting into a career after all this hard work and then HATING what I do. IF you don't mind taking care of sicks and do have positive and patience attitude toward others, you will love RN as career. Ppl is like baby and will always be when they are sick and in time of agony pain. One of the most respected career in health care sector. I left it after 17 years. Love it for awhile then lost my desire for it. It has all gone coorporate and political now. I went into Nursing to take care if the sick. But now all you do it push a few pills, watch over some fancy medical equipment, run to the next patient to do the same thing, and attend useless meetings on budgets and such...... while the big guys in their offices make all the money. It was wonderful when you had time to sit on the bed and talk with patients, hold their hand once in awhile, fed them, help with walking or dressing changes and cares. But when they stated hiring people who have never been in the health profession to run hospitals, and it was all about budgets and Insurances I left. Best of luck where ever you work, try to get the best part of nursing out of it, which is the care of others. |
