Can I be a Psych Nurse with these degrees?

Associate in Nursing
Bachelors in Psychology

You can be a psych nurse without any psych experience, as long as you have your RN license. Having a psych degree, however, is a huge advantage. If you wanted, you could also pursue your master's degree and specialize in psych nursing, becoming a nurse practitioner or a clinical nurse specialist- but you will need to earn your BSN first. Your BS in psych won't qualify you for entry into a master's in nursing (as far as I know). Source(s): RN
I want to say no because to be a nurse at all, you must be some form of a registered nurse (RN). However, I don't see why you couldn't be a Psych nurse's assistant.
