Finding a job at a hosital? |
im 19 years old, a college student i go to a community college (Cosumnes River College) i would love to work at kaiser permanente hospital, but i don't know what types of jobs are available with my skills. ill take any job position i seen some of their internships online, but its a master internship, and i don't have any degrees, yet what jobs are offered at kaiser, for college students Try their website. If you have little to no experience/eduaction in Healthcare, you will have to take an entry level position. Clerical work in the Business Office, Medical Records, Admitting is a good place to start. I don't know about that hospital but you could always do like pharmacy tech to get in the door or take a few week course and be a certified nursing assistant. you would learn a lot and if they need people you could make good money. but CNA is a hard job. I am an RN at a hospital just get your foot in the door and do anything then start talking to the right people. Call the hospitals personnel/human resources department, or look it up on-line if they have a website. If you have any degree it would be helpful, like CNA or something, but there are some jobs you can do, like transporting patients to different areas of the hospital *including the morgue* and there is the kitchen. If you have no certifications or anything those 2 jobs are really the only thing you can get in a hospital. Good luck Most of the positions are filled from within. There is much nepotism involved in filling the openings. There is always a chance though. Best way to find out is to call their human resource office and ask. |
