Is it against the law for a nursing home to be understaff?

whats the maximun number of residents a nursing *** or cena should be assigned

Really it is but lot of nursing home stay understaff and get away with it all the time. Wait for inspection and they start going crazy about having all the ppl they are supposed to have. I was working 3rd shift and was stuck to a hall by myself alot 1 hall = 24 ppl. We were supposed to have 3 to a hall. It is very unsafe and u are not able to do ur job effectively but nursing home get by with what they can. They don't care.
Different states have different ratio requirements, however it is illegal to be understaffed in every state.
I am not sure you would have to check the laws where you are..
But it is against the law if the patients are not being treated right or ignored ...
Check it out.. and soon if someone you know and love is in one..
