Encouragement please from former nursing students? |
I have been in the RN program now for 3 weeks, I still feel overwhelmed. I read all the time, I am slower than anyone doing the drug calculations. We have not had a test yet but I'm already in a panic. The word can't is not even in my nursing vocabulary but..... I think, hope I can do it. Please help. It is tough to cram everything! Take your time doing your calculations so they are right the first time!(speed comes with experience!) Just don't forget to give yourself some breathing room! Take a day off from studying and give your brain break. That way when you go back to the books, you can better find out what you retained and what you need to go over again! I got faith in you! You'll do great, and Good Luck! ;) Keep hammering on your studies,you'll be fine. For me, the first semester of nursing school was the most stressful time in my entire life - and I have three children! LOL You just have to get yourself as organized as possible. Study a lot - a ton. Hang in there, it will get better. Good luck! RN |
