Can I Still become a Registered Nurse?

Can i become a registered nurse even if I just have my GED Or do I need 2 get my HighSchool Diploma?

i am studying to be a registered nurse right now.i do believe you can become a registered nurse with just a GED . you may have to take a few extra prerequisite classes. but if you load up a little, or take summer classes you should be able to do it in four years. however you cannot become a registered nurse if you have any felonies.
The internet doesn't always have the answers.

It'll probably depend on where you go. Just go to your local nursing school and ask them.
Please become a nurse!! We need you!!! Having a GED will not hurt you in trying to become a nurse. Go to a community college and get tested for college classes. If you don't pass the test, there are remedial classes that can help you. Then take all your pre-reqs and appply for the nursing program. Consider becoming a Nurse Aid to help you pay for school.
Me a CNA in a nursing school
U can have your GED and still be a registered nurse if you go to nursing school. If you don't have a regular high school diploma the only other thing you could get was your GED. So you really don't need both i would think.
You can still become a nurse but here is the course you will probably need to follow- you can try for a 4 year degree, but most accredited nursing programs will not take you if you have a GED for a 4 year school. At a tech school (2 year program) you can start in an RN program or an LPN program. They take you if you have a GED but you do need to take an entrance exam (not to accept you, but to let you know what classes you will need to take) After your 2 year schooling, you register for another 2 years to get your RN. From there most universities will take you if you want to be a CRNP (nurse practitioner) in their programs. Even if you get your RN from your tech school, you still have to pass the same tests to be registered so almost every job will see that you are registered and dont question the school, fancier hospitals and more certified programs may, but most do not.
