Do you have to be 18 to be a certified nurses aide?

Don't believe everything that you read on the forum. Each state is different since each has it's own regs to follow for state and federal. I usually hire 16 year olds during the summer break that have past their CNA courses and become certified. Again, each state is different. Source(s): Dir of Nursing
i think it's 21..
No. I became a CNA at the age of 16. As long as you have you work permit, you will be fine. Also, it depends on what state you live in also. I was trained where I worked, but took my certification test at the red cross. Good Luck!
You have to be of legal age which is 21 years in most states.
i wanna be a cna u don't know have to be over 21 because i remember my cousin was 19 when she started but i think it's 18 in alabama
Usually 18, it depends on where you live....
