Tips for going into Medical Transcription?

A friend of mine is currently enrolled in MT courses through Career Step. Since I'm looking to work from home she referred me to the site. Can any of you with experience or knowledge of medical transcription help me out a bit. I'm going on 20, my typing skills are advanced, my grammar is advanced... Guess I'm just curious to know the level of difficulty the job holds, and if I'm cut out for it. Let me know any tips/experiences, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Career Step is an excellent online training program for MT. I enrolled & did not finish, I guess I did not finish because but I prefer a classroom setting. I like having an instructor right there with me as I learn... To give you some tips, I would consider applying for jobs in MT without the certification. If you have the skills (typing ,grammer you are off to a good start) Now you just need the medical terminology & biology...Some employers might train you if you are skilled in the other areas.
