Should i stick with nursing eventhough it's challenging and some of the staff are rude.? It depends whether its in your blood or you just see it as a job. You are right, it is challenging, and that is part of the excitement of the career, it is ever changing, fast paced, you have to think on your feet, you have emergency life and death situations to deal with and its not easy by any stretch of the imagination. Rude staff? I think you will get that whatever job you are in, it certainly is not restricted to nursing, I think a lot of rudeness can be attributed to the fact that nurses are under a lot of pressure and are working in a very stressful environment. There is not always a lot of time for manners when you are pushed to your limits, try not to take it personally because I'm sure it is not meant in that way. Remember why you chose to go into nursing in the first place, what motivated you, what drew you into it, try to recapture that initial excitement and anticipation and concentrate on bringing that back into your workplace. It is a very worthwhile and rewarding job and can make you very proud at the end of the day, stick with it and make sure you never turn into one of those rude staff members that make the job a bit less pleasant! Good luck. Source(s): RN If you truly like nursing, then stick with it. The harder you work towards what you want the easier it will become. And don't worry about the other staff. There's always going to be a few rude co-workers at any job. If it really bothers you, try working somewhere else. Yes. Arrogant people are in every profession. Every new career is tough. Give yourself a chance. |
