Why would a man want to be a gynecologist? |
My friend's husband thinks that any man who becomes a gynecologist must be a pervert. I disagree. Thoughts? I'm sure that the four intense years of med school followed by the four+ years of residency and fellowship followed by numerous impending frivolous malpractice suits pretty much weed out any perverts looking for a cheap thrill! :) These people are professionals who happen to be interested in the gestational development of humans and also enjoy helping women. Reproductive pathology is extremely complicated and presents many challenges clinically. The money is decent, but the malpractice insurance is so expensive that anyone looking to just get rich would never choose this line of work. The hours spent at the hospital and on call are grueling. I think your friends husband is a bit naive when it comes to what these people actually do and how much responsibility they carry! can be, but to look at body parts that way day after day can get nasty. once in a while a pretty girl might be on the table, but when its a 90 yr old lady, u cant say anything about them being perverts any more. To counter: Why would a woman want to be a gynecologist? ether way there are connotations! |
