Nurses: A question for you..?

I am interested in pursuing a career in nursing. Do you have to be strong in math to be a nurse and secondly, how stressful is the job?

Thank you.

I am a RN and I am horrible at math! But don't let that scare you, I am still competent or else I wouldn't be where I am today. For a bachelor's degree at the college I went to, the only math classes we had to take was a general math class (NOT algebra, mostly word problems and venn diagrams, definitely not hard) and Statistics. Statistics is a very different kind of math, people that arent good at algebra or other kinds of math can be good at stats and vice versa. And as long as we had taken chemisty in high school, no chem was required. I suggest you look around at nursing schools in your area. Most of them have websites with their curriculum online and if they dont, email them and ask for it! They will be happy to oblige.

And as for the stress, it can be stressful., but nursing is what you make of it. You can choose to stress out and be unhappy or you can take it in stride. Its very rewarding but it is hard work. They pay isn't bad either and it's not going anywhere but up!
I want to become a nurse too and I saw that you have to take college algebra and chemistry, the bad thing is that I'm not good in math
