What are the IL Requirements for Certified Medical Assistant?

Im tyring to find any requirements to practice as a medical assistant in IL. If there are any even. Where can I find this information?

Here is a website for general career info: www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search 'medical assistant' and there should be 'additional resources' at the bottom of the page.

Just a word to the wise, the word in most places is that there are not a lot of jobs for MA's (or medical billers and coders). If wanting to sign-up with such a program, please go the lesser expensive route thru the local community college (non-credit course perhaps) or county vo-tech school.
BE A RETARD WHO CAN KEEP UP FOR 6 MONTHS
You will need to take a course including hands-on training in a nursing home/hospital and then completing a written test. You can do this when still in high-school. Many do and work part-time until graduation.
