Suitable shoes for nursing? |
Im starting a Healthcare Apprenticeship, so i obviosuly need some comfy shoes to wear, they have to be black, can anyone recommend any shoes suitable for nursing? many thanks. I really must say, I resisted for a long time, because I think they are ugly, but now, I am a Crocs loyalist. I used to have foot / heel pain after a long days work, but not anymore. I wear these shoes every day of my life, both at work and at home. I even bought them for my husband and children. They're easy to clean, and are made from an anti-microbial material, great for hospital work! I get the ones without the holes so I don't need to worry about splashes of body fluid getting on my socks. :) www.crocs.com like my nurses in black stilletoes, hold ups etc I wear a Colorado with a strap across the instep. You need something with either a strap, or laces, to hold the shoe on. You'll be on your feet a lot , so get something with a padded insole. Good luck with your apprenticeship !! My wife has Hush puppies and she reckons they are comfortable. I USE TENNIS SHOES WITH A GOOD ARCH SUPPORT. THEY HAVE BLACK ONES IN THE PRINCESS STYLE REEBOKS. THEY ARE COMFORTABLE IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT YOU WALK AND RUN IN THEM.. I STILL HAVE A PAIR THAT HAS LASTED ME ABOUT THREE YEARS AND I THROW THEM IN THE WASHING MACHINE TOO. YOU CAN GET THEM ON SALE FOR ABOUT 29.00. MY NURSING SHOES WORE OUT IN SIX MONTHS AND THEY WERE UNCOMFORTABLE AND EXPENSIVE. PERSONAL EXPERIENCES Flatties. |
