Why do many people take up medical related courses?

a lot of jobs out in the world whether they may be related to medical or not can appear phenominal to an employer. some jobs that may seem completely unrelated to anything medical still love the medical stance on someones resume.
Guess there is demand for them.
I think much like answers here... if you care for people in general the medical profession is the best way to have a direct contribution to the health and well being of others.
because it is the profession one gets maximum marginal utility

one has to just use his skills to earn money and no high investment cost needed.....
I think alot of people .. what to go into a career that they think is important and highly regarded ... Being a doctor is seen this way... and it requires alot of hard work and education to get there. There is also a good salary that goes along with some careers in the medical field.. And there will allways be a need for these people.. Others may want to do it solely for helping people...
Healthcare will always exist, and depending where u branch off into can mean the diverence of quite a few dollars. The healthcare field employs all types of postions because hospitals and some of clinics never close. Simply put, help is always needed. I went to Schools for Medical Assisting (MA) and to this day i am not working in this field. My first job as a MA at was the Froedtert Hopital in Wisconsin working for one of there speciality clinics; and i can honestly tell u that physicians can be real azzholes and this job requires u to subject yourself to different ailments, but the worst part were the physcians. I have a different outlook on the Dr's when i myself go see a physcian. I just really feel sorry for the nurses. Long story short, if u are thinking about going into the Medical Field, make sure u really want to invest the time.....research
