The reasons for Nurse Shortage? |
i find the main reason is the Lack of faculty, is it ridiculous? They can absolutely increase the salary for those who willing to teach in Colleges, why aren't they doing it? for any political reasons or what else? Nurse is a tough job and so there are not so many people who want to become a nurse. You have to handle dirty things like faeces and urine and dead body. And you have also to face many infectitious diseases. And when there is something wrong, it's usually the nurses who were blamed. My sister quitted doing as a nurse many years ago because she has many unhappy experiences of being blamed and scolded by the patients' family members for thing that weren't her fault. Source(s): My sister's own experience the "main" reason is that it's a brutal job, not respected inside the system. Floor nursing is one of the toughest jobs in the world, accountability without authority. ok...i guess the other posts are sort-of true. i don't know where you live, but i live in queensland, australia, and there is a major shortage of nurses. the reasons are-lack of funding for nursing courses, lack of places in nursing courses, people aren't very prepared to go into nursing-it is a very challenging career choice and the salary isn't so great. and yes, nurses aren't appreciated very much at all. but i think people tend to ignore nurses... not sure why. |
