FBT is for sure to be paid by the employer providing the fringe benefits but in certain cases the employee has to take the brunt of the same. For e.g. an employee is relocated from city x to y. IT regulations say that the employee cannot be allowed to stay on company expenses for more than 15 days, but if he does stay more than 15 days, then the employee stands to pay taxes to the govt.
