Income tax refund cheque address??


I had recieved my income tax refund cheque last year, but unfortunately put it late in the bank, they returned the cheque saying out dated, where do i have to send the cheque to get a new one? I m in bangalore as of now

The Income Tax Refund is issued by the ward in which you file you r income tax return. As per your info you are in Bangalore right now? To revalidate the cheque you will need to send the cheque to the ward in which the return of income was filed. please tell me the ward and maybe i would be able to help you more with the address.
That is going to be hard.

This is simple . Write a letter addressed to ITO or ACIT with a copy to his superior usually JCIT of the range sending back the cheque to the ITO and requesting for a fresh cheque or revalidation.
