I have a retirement from two companies, one is Tenneco. They found that I have Part D coverage from the other company and are now cancelling my supplemental medical coverage from them.
Many companies who were providing group retiree coverage cancelled when people signed up for Medicare Part D, even though that was just for drugs. They have the right to do so and can require that you choose between the two. Sorry. Deep is right, The insurer should have communicated that with you. Look though their letters, you should have a "creditible coverage letter" of some sorts that tells you how part D affects your coverage. I sell part D
