Is there any organazation that helps with the cost of a funeral?

if u have no insurance

no
funerals are a huge moneymaker
for profit only
You'd have to go the cheapest route and only have cremation with no viewing

Dads funeral last week cost over $8,000 and we were not extravagant

Soc Security will give $225 towards burial
I don't know what country you are in but in the U.S. The deceased person's social security will give a small benefit payment to the family member who paid for the funeral or cremation. You need a copy of the death certificate and the receipt where you paid for the services. It is only about $200 or $250.00, but every little bit helps.
Social Security will pay a small amount of death benefit, and then you have to go to your church & family & friends.
