If you receive a lump some from social security disablitiy do you have to pay the long term disablity ins back Yes. Most if not all long term disability policies take into account your social security to determine how much they pay you. You can't get rich by collecting from both. If you recieve back payment from social security your long term disability will reduce it's payment and expect you to pay back the difference. Depends on if your policy allows for this as an offset. You will need to review your policy. It should outline it clearly. No, they are two seperate policies. agent, 20+ years |
