I had tesco's home insurance and cancelled my direct debit? |
They are now sending me a bill for two months payments, (after I cancelled my direct debit). I thought when I cancelled my direct debit that was it. Do I have to pay these two months of payments? What will they do if I do not pay? You are dum dum. You have to cancel the POLICY with Tesco first and then automatically your direct debit will be cancellled. Not the other way around just write to them explaining what you have said, but if you took out a years contract you might stil have to pay that year read the small print Yes you will have to pay the % per annum of insurance for cancelling insurance check the small print ,all insurance policies charge this . You only cancelled your DD, not your policy. As far as Tesco is concerned you are still insured under them so they will want those payments. Cancelling the policy is the only way to prevent more money being paid. Good luck and Merry Christmas. You need to cancel your policy with Tesco's, as far as they are aware you still have one but you aren't paying for it! read the small print. What You need to do is contact your insurance company and let them know you want to cancell your Policy with them. THAT SHOULD BE THE 1ST THING ANYONE DO WHEN THEY WANT TO CANCEL ANY POLICY OR CONTRACT!! |
