What is it when a person is bonded and how does someone become bonded ? also how much does it cost? |
CAN A INDIVIDUAL BECOME BONDED FOR DOING ODD JOBS? FOR HELPING PEOPLE OR BUSINESSES WITH VARIOUS ODD JOBS. SOME DAILY , SOME WEEKLY JOBS OR TASKS BUT ALL TEMPORARY . BONDED AGAINST THEFT OR DAMAGE CAUSED FROM INDIVIDUAL? A bond doesn't mean what you think it means. It's a guarantee from the insurance company TO A SPECIFIC ENTITY, naming their name and address, that you will do something, or not do something, and if you don't, the penalty amount named in the bond will be paid to them, by the insurance company. So you'd have to buy a bond for EACH odd job you did. Not worth it, as minimum premium for that type of bond (which, btw, would usually only cover if you STOLE something) would be about $250. DAMAGE caused by individuals would be LIABILITY coverage, and it wouldn't include cost to re-do your own work, if you messed up. You can buy a bond, or liability insurance, from an insurance agent. Again, it's not what you think it is, and in your case, if you REALLY want a theft bond, you'd have to be able to personally guarantee the penalty amount. Source(s): agent, 20+ years i dont have a clue what you are talking about, are you talking about being bailed out of jail? if so a bail bondsman is what you are talking about and it would depend on how much the court sets your bond at to get out.... go to the site below it will explain more about bonding compay and bail http://www.dogthebountyhunter.com/intro.... My girlfriend likes to bond me all the time. She uses pantyhose and just ties them around my arms and the bed posts. Drives me nuts what she does after that. ---Oh, wait---, that's bondAGE. I guess I don't know. I would not agree with this kind of requirement from a company for their employees. I would be very dubious if a company expects you to do this. If you are working for yourself,I don't think there's a need to however take an insurance to cover yourself. why and is it needed in your state or county if not dont need just extra unnessacery cost /, Insurance to cover yourself and property damage yes |
