How do i find out if someone has taken out a life insurance policy on me without my knowledge? Wow, that's creepy! I know a lot of employers do this and make themselves the beneficiary if you kick off, but I think they tell you they do that...?? with out knowing if they did or the company, you cant. Even if you know the company, if you are not the owner of the policy, they wont give you any info about it. If you can tell them that there was fraud, then they can investigate. But, again, you would have to know the company. There are are far too many in the country for you to just call up and ask, "do you have a policy on me?" It's crazy, but if the person has an "insurable interest", meaning they're related to you in some way, they can do it! Just get away from the person in question. Tell everyone about your suspicions and report any creepy activity to the police. They can't do anything about it but at least they'll have a record of it if the person does try to hurt you. No one can take out a life insurance policy on your life without your signature on the paperwork. The only way they would be able to do this is by illegal forgery. If you suspect that this is the case, you might try hiring a private investigator to find out what life insurance company the person is using. The alternative is to be sure that you let people around you know that you would never consent to such a thing so that in case anything we to happen they could come forward on your behalf. Hope this helps some! no but they must be or have been a family member or present or past employeer If you are a minor, a parent could get a small policy on you or a Child Term Rider on their policy that would cover you. If you are 18 or older most companies would require a medical on you before issueing the policy.
