Is the yuan still pegged to the dollar? Anyone know if they are expected to let it float?

The yuan is not pegged to the dollar, but the exchange rate is controlled by the government of China. While it is hard to predict their movements I think it is inevitable that the yuan will be allowed to rise in value over the next several months.
The Chinese govt controls the yuan and they would never let it float as it is overvalued
No its not. But its not entirely free floating though. There are still some kind of controls exercise by the Chinese government.
