Name the brokerage house which have the cheapest brokerage structure ?
R K Global for India
rkglobal.net That is hard to do. I used to work for a brokerage house, explaining fees and defending them to our customers. Some houses charge no monthly fees, but sting you on the transaction fees and commissions. Some offer "low trading fees" but that depends on the dollar amount of your assets that you will be holding with them. Some offer trade fees, monthly fees, no fees, low commissions with account fees, etc. Some offer statement fees. The problem is that they (the companies) are required by law to post a profit for shareholders. They get a lot of these funds through the fees. The best bet is to think about what you want - do you need an advisor or not? Are you willing to do the research? Are you market savvy? The more you do, the less they charge. Places like ETrade, Scotttrade are more for knowledgeable investors.
