This s an example. For other bank you can do the same if internet banking facility is available to your bank; otherwise just walk in to your nearest bank. Go to a bank like icici and request to open a demat account. with the minimumal payment you can do that. Opening account is simple. Approach any Banker or any authorised dealer in Stock Exchange: They will give the form, you can fill and submit: you will get the Dmat account within days.Identity card, pan, ration card & etc are needed with a Bank account U CONTACT WITH ANY DEPOSITORY PARTICIPANT e.g. STOCK HOLDING CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD. they will charge a/c opening charges it varies depend on DPs e.g. SHCIL charges 551/-. documents required- PAN card. one address proof, one identity proof. bank a/c proof and one photograph. after application they will send u your ragitration letter with detail & instrucion slips, demat request forms ,and guide. they will charge transaction chges for each transaction seperatalyfor each transaction.
