If I do not have a turnover yet and do not want to register for vat can I still import from china for resale.? |
What is the custom and excise web-site? The current registration threshold is 拢61,000. If you reach that limit in 30 days then you need to register from the point you go over. If you reach it in 1 year you will need to be registered from the 1st day of the 2nd month from when you go over. If your turnover does not reach the threshold you do not have to register for VAT but will be unable to reclaim back any Import VAT that will be due at the time of Import. If you do not register for VAT but wish to import goods from China, you must get a Pseudo Traders Unique Reference Number (TURN). This is just a number and has no other connations apart from administration. Probably worth speaking to the Customs national advice service. 0845 010 9000 Also check out this link for a guide to importing: http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsporta... |
