VAT exempt customers?

Hello, I am VAT registered in Ireland. I have a client , a business that is VAT exempt. As part of their order, I have to use suppliers that charge at 13.% VAT. Never been in this situation before, how does it work? AM I liable for any VAT?

All help appreciated good people of Yahoo Answers.

You should never take a chance with the Custom & Excise as if you do the wrong thing you will be liable. The best thing to do if in doubt is to ring them and get a ruling on it, I have always found them very helpful.

Why do some people give a thumbs down to someone who is trying to be helpful. I couldn't give a full answer because I haven;t got all the details so I refered the questioner to the people who can help, what s wrong with that. Grow up for goodness sake.
