Virginia minimum wage: Going up?


A friend of mine told me that minimum wage in Virginia is going up from 5.15 to 5.50. Anyone know if this is true?

On Tuesday, July 24, the FEDERAL minimum wage is being raised to $5.85 and by federal law, all states must be at the federal rate, regardless of the state's minimum wage rate.
the new wage will be 5.85.
