Which is a typical salary for a lawyer working for a law firm with 3 or 4 years of experience??

Well, my brother has been a lawyer in Chicago since fall 2002 and I believe he is making about 190,000 now. He started at 120,000. He is on his third firm now and he is a bankruptcy lawyer.
There are so many different types of lawyers, and ways to interpret billed hours, or Attorny Fees, or Council salaries.

One good thing for a lawyer in the third or fourth year, is that the cost of the education gets paid down considerably by that time.

I would venture to say six figures is not uncommon for that amount of experience.
A typical 3-4 year associate working at a top 15 law firm in downtown Los Angeles earns around $165,000 to $170,000 annually. A first-year partner earns around $200,000 per year.

Good luck!
