Do i get paid if a quit my job???? |
My last day on my work was july 22, friday after that i got my check for the week that i work.....now the question is....i am not suppost to have another check???? That depends on when the new pay period starts. If it starts on Saturday you should be getting one more check for Saturday and Sunday's work. I would suggest contacting your former employer about it. Also make sure you receive payment for all hours worked. You should recive a check for EACH week you work. If you have recieved your last paycheck for the last hours you worked, then no you dont get another one. If you got paid for the week that you worked, what else would they be paying you for? Just make sure you got paid for all of the hours that you worked. You may also be entitled to any vacation and sick pay that you accumulated, depending on your company policy. if there is time you worked but didn't get paid in the last check you received then yes you have to be paid. Check out the labor laws in your state to find out when the company has to comply. It could be immediately or the next scheduled pay date but never after. If you're asking about unemployment checks, you are generally eligible for unemployment in the USA if you were fired or dismissed from your job, not if you quit. Once the employer has paid you for the work that you did, you will no longer receive paychecks after you quit your job. If you worked for a company that had a pension plan, and you have built up a balance in that plan, you will be entitled to that money at retirement. You may have an option to take that retirement money early, but it will have penalties if you take it out early. depends on how your pay periods fall. in my company in admin jobs, pay period runs from Monday to Sunday for 2 wks (most recently 7/16/07-7/29/06 and payday is today, 8/3/07. It seems like you got your final check, unless you have unpaid vacation time coming that you haven't used, but are entitled to |
