How to follow up with after a job interview?

How to follow up with after a job interview?

The very day I have the interview I type and mail (and get post marked if possible) a brief letter thanking them for taking the time to meet with me so I could learn more about their [company/ business] and that I am excited about the prospect of joining them and look forward to hearing from them soon. I think most employers hate that most employees don't follow up on things and doing that by letter (which admittedly takes at least some effort) is impressive.
Wait 5-7 days and if they haven't contacted you, you are welcome to call them. State your name, say you were recently in for an interview, and were just checking to see how things were going or if the position had been filled yet.
Write a thank you note thanking them for the time they took to see you. Let them know that you look forward to hearing from them.

Short but sweet. Most people who give interviews appreciate a thank you note for their time.
If you can find an interesting news/magazine article, send it to the interviewer with a note, "I thought you might be interested in seeing this."
I assume you've sent a Thank You note for the interview. Right? If not, send one.
It really helps to call them back to let them know you are really interested.Be really nice when talking to whom ever you talk to.
This is how i got my jobs.
Send a nice thank you note and call them.
