I have returned home after working about 4 years in singapore and hold singapore PR. My employer has not given me my pending salary - S$ 10000. I'm still following it up. I have sent mails to MOM but it seems they will not be of great help in this case. is it possible that i can initiate legal action sitting in my home country? What are the chances? Is there any agencies which can do this services in singapore?
If you are in the executive position then MOM really can't assist you. All you can do is to go to small claims court to file your complains, but it is not a guarantee that you can get your 10 grand back. Best case is to visit s'pore again and meet with a lawyer to file a statutory demand but of course you need to have all your proof that your pay is being withheld.
Maybe you should visit this website: http://www.lawnet.com.sg/lawnetweb/lawne... to see what alternatives there are for you.
Good luck, I have been in your shoes before and know the anger, financial burden and betrayal that you are experiencing. |
