What can I do to better my chances of becoming a lobbyist? I am going into my 2nd year of college and I can't really decide what I want to do. I've been told that I am very persuasive and articulate; many have suggested I go into this field. However, is this a good/secure career choice? And if so, what are the steps to becoming one? How do I get my name on the radar? And I know there are lots of you so if someone could help me out that would be great!! Thanks!
If you are persuasive and articulate there are a dozen other fields you should consider. A lobbyist? Sorry, but they are nothing but loud mouth liberals who rarely make any sense. I too considered this career path many moons ago. Then I grew up and realized what they were. Pick something more respectable. Additionally, when there is a bill on the table waiting to be voted on (for example I support the Anti Bullying Workplace Act bill and HR 2381) I write to my congressman and senators with my views as a constiuent. I do not have to be at the foot of the stairs of congress or legislative house looking like an idiot to let our government officials know I am for it or against it. |
