How long does it take for a background check to be completed? What are they looking for on the background check

I APPLIED FOR A JOB @ KOOL SMILES

It takes a few days for the company you apply for to recieve your background check. The physical check is instant, but most companies use outside sources. It takes the other source a few days to get abck to the company you apply for. Most common depending on the job you apply for can be a very brief report just to see if you have had any felonies. Other jobs that involve operating a vehicle actually check for felonies and if you have had any prior DUI convictions. The most extensive background checks are the one that involves you working for the state or government. But in your case, most likely just a felony and misdemeanor check. Good luck on your job!
They look for criminal records, basically, anything that might indicate you're a criminal or a nutjob....or serial killer!!!
They look for past criminal offences usually. Some jobs also require a credit check. Employment references are checked too. Most of the time it takes one week. I have worked for one employer where it actually took two weeks.
yes they check to see if you are a criminal and check for any felonies you might have and if you have ever done anything bad with guns and stuff like that and it can range from 2days to about 12days
everyone who gets a job needs clearances its called yr act 30 and 33 its for child abuse and see if u have a criminal history. how long does it take it depends on who mailed it u or the employer. so good luck:)
It depends on the company the employer uses but usually no more than 48 hours depending on how many previous addresses you have had. They are normally looking for any felony charges but can get back misdemeanors also. If something is found, the employer will usually call you and ask you to explain. Good luck!
