Is it possible to get a job with a misdemeanor on my record?

Looking for a better job and Im nervous

Yes. Misdemeanors are minor mistakes. Unless the company does a background check there is no reason for you to provide them with the information. Even if they do a background check, a misdemeanor will not disqualify you. However, if they bring it up, be open and honest and be sure to reflect on how you learned from your mistake. A felony is where you would be worried. You'll be fine.
Pretty easy if you go into a skilled trade. They ususally do not care. We have a wall of the people who get arrested which we work with. They come back to the job once they are released, but it is hard to get skilled labor in my area.
