Can a person working in an institution for 2 yrs still can be terminared?

A person has been working in the institution for 2 years, receiving only salary and no other benefits. Later he has been negligent of his job. So can he still be terminated because of this?

Yes, depending upon the policy of the Company and generally following the principles of natural justice like holding an inquiry and giving an opportunity of being heard. Source(s): Profession
Most places in the US are "at will" employers, meaning that employees can be terminated at any time, for any reason, with or without cause or notice. Length of service with a company is not a huge factor in the decision to terminate someone.
