Can you still be an assistant manager if you are charged with a felony?

a friend of mine is an assistant manager at walgreens. he has never been in any kind of trouble but he made a mistake and is about to be charged with carrying a conceiled weapon. is it possible that he will lose his job over this?

He could. It depends on the company policy.

I'm not sure if he should fess up now or wait to see if the company finds out. It all depends on the corporate atmosphere I guess.

Personally, I'd have to be honest. Not only because I am, but because if I didn't disclose that then I could be immediately terminated.

Good luck to your friend.
Walgreen's is a very stuffy company, and doesn't look favorably upon people carrying firearms, even legally. Don't be surprised to find your friend flipping burgers at Mickey D's.
Probably not. I know an assistant manager that got put in Jail for DWI and they didnt fire him, Now he is a Co-manager. but this was at Walmart. Guess it just depends on the store and management there. It would probably be best if he told the managment team there and not But I feel if he is open and honest with them then it should go over well. Anyone else with a simular reason?
What was his intention for carring it will be the result in it.
