Domestic Violence Charges . . . Employment?

Does anyone know if fine dining restaurants typically reject you for having been convicted of domestic violence charges?

I am sure it would depend. They may hire you in the kitchen, but probably not as the host/hostess position.

If you have been convicted, it is up to you to prove to them that you are taking steps to prevent yourself from becoming violent again.
I can't speak to the dining industry specifically, but any employer that deals directly with the public and doesn't screen potential employees for violent histories is assuming a terrible liability.
It's up to the company to decide that, but I personally would think long and hard before hiring someone who would hit their wife/girlfriend.
