Do you know a good short course oriented to Insurance market? |
I鈥檓 a lawyer in Arg. and I want to work here in London - What is the best course (short - no more than 3 months) that could open me the door in the job market? I've worked in a law firm with Insurance companies as clients for two years. Thanks! I would suggest that you look at the chartered insurance institute website - there are a full range of courses from the neophyte to degree level. The CII have regular examinations and offer these examinations on a worldwide basis! http://www.cii.co.uk/generalinsurance.as... I assume that 'Arg' is Argentina? Do you have any English legal or insurance experience? If not, you may find difficulty in getting a job in this specialised field. I don't want to put you off but be realistic! A 3 month course, no matter how good, would not give you sufficient experience. Basically there are 2 main ways in which to see if there are any vacancies. Many of the large firms of solicitors have specialist insurance departments - this sounds like the job you have been doing! Alternatively, some insurance companies have their own legal departments.
