How can a Disabled Veteran with stellar academic experience get a job in Chicago?

How do I get an attorney job in Chicago? I graduated from a top-tier law school (Boston University) with good grades. Served my country. Have 6+ years of business experience (prior to going to law school). What do you suggest I do?

I would start with the ABA site here:

And perhaps check with the Illinois Bar to see if they have knowledge of any openings. I assume you have passed the Bar in Chicago, if not -- definitely start there.

Keep in mind that as an older attorney, associate positions are sometimes more difficult to find. You may want to consider getting into a lower paying job to get more attorney experience and then looking for a position.

Good Luck.
First, determine what type of job you are looking for. If you cannot find anything advertised, then I suggest going to a headhunter (but not any that require you to pay since the headhunters get their payment from the employer). Or, try temporary jobs (there should be lot of temporary agencies in the area). Maybe friends/contacts can lead you to a good job.
