Is It legal For McDonalds To withhold my check?

i am 15 and live in kansas and was recently fired from my job working for Mc Donalds. They are refusing to give me my last check until i return the uniform. the uniform was never given to me by the company but by a previous worker who no longer needed it . I plan on giving back the uniform either way,but i just want to know if they can do this legally?

It depends, was it in the contract that you sign. Usually, the uniform is not your property. It is a franchise and they want all workers wearing the same thing, so the uniform is usually the property of McDonald's. Rather than keeping your paycheck, they can just subtract the cost of the uniform, and give you the rest
Just play fair.
Yep legally they can
well its thier uniform. you didnt pay for it. just give it back and get your money and leave.
It depends, if it was written in the contract that you signed (and that is saying you signed a contract). Ive had a past employer do the same to me but I just returned the unifrom so I guess it depends
Yes they can. The uniform is company property regardless of whether it came to you from a previous employee or from Ronald McDonald himself.
i think they can becasue either way it is considered thier property
