IS IT true that many Indians break laws in some or other way & don't get complained by or punished???see more |
Considering India IS IT true that many people break some laws in their life time perhaps which are small or of less severe nature ; for example: Traffic laws , Trespass, Bribery , Cyber laws, Disrespect of national anthem or flag, Cheating ,Copying in exams, Small theft, Defamation ,Electricity theft, Teasing or Molesting females,Child labour & Child marriage in rural places ........ knowingly or negligently or because of unawareness or circumstances and remain unnoticed ,uncomplained & unharmed???? IF yes; what do u think ; how many people of that kind are there in India? IF yes; what are reasons behind it? It is true - the reason is more important: We can describe it in many ways, simply put: Indians don't have a sense of shame - we do not believe we should accept something when we do wrong, remember the legal system here is cheap. Example: In the cricket players accepting bribes controversy almost most Indians did not understand why their Australian counterparts confessed to taking money, they were thought to be foolish. It is not so, they confessed because they had a sense of shame, their people knew it had happened - so it was better to own up and ask to be forgiven. They valued their country & its legal systems. Did one Indian own up - no, as it was considered the smart thing to do. Take the press in India, to do a story they need to be well fed & looked after, the paper needs to be paid to do nice articles - then they talk about politicians et al. if not looked after - there is a word that comes to mind Bla...... it is every where in the world and india is not an exception to that. laws are being enacted by the governemnt for the welfare and good goverence. but people are misusing that for power money etc. law is relative for some people. eventhough ignorance of law is no excuse but most of the people including educated people are not aware of their duties rights and responsibilities. hence there is a possibility of circumventing the law. out of 110 crore indian population still 35 percent are below the poverty line and uneducated. in such a vast society there is possiblity of what u r stating. personal opinion yes it is true because they do not wear helmet, stole anything and driving car in hi-speed Well one of my good friends is a guard at high max prison and things she told me working there is that most of the prisoners there are Indian. So I do know they do get punished too, you just don't really hear about it in the papers are news. It is true it happens world wide, but I agree with the reasons in the 2nd answer, They are why its so much more in India. |
