It's hard to go wrong with a basic conservative business suit (dark color) and conservative shoes. Still, you need to understand the culture of the law firm you are visiting - a "white shoe" corporate firm will typically be more conservative than a personal injury plaintiff's firm.

clothes seem to work w/o a nose ring w/o earings one is okay not the array color of hair is standard color and cut is clean and normal. This is a business.
Good answer already in place. If you can, observe the people arriving at work (when they're unlikely to pay any attention to someone in business attire sipping coffee). That can let you know this is a business-casual firm rather than a suit-and-tie firm.

When in doubt, go conservative. If you arrive in a suit and they're in golf shirts, you put your tie in your jacket pocket, slip off your jacket, unbutton your collar, roll up your cuffs, and relax, because that's close enough. However, if *you* arrive in a golf shirt and they're in suits...
