I'm moving to Los Angeles, California after college and i'm gonna be a paralegal, will there be lots of work t Okay, you have a great question. First, a joke. What's 200 lawyers at the bottom of a lake? Answer: A Good Start. As far as law firms in Los Angeles, you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting 50 lawyers on a sidewalk in Los Angeles. This being said, finding a job should not be that difficult. Depending on where you went to paralegal school (is it an accredited school or college), you should be able to make connections through your school. The best thing to do is look for a placement agency. There are several that can do placement or temp to perm positions. That would probably be your best plan of attack. You can temp and find a law firm that you like, then see if they have a position for you. I have worked in the legal profession for over 18 years (OMG). Some of the best people that I have worked with are Lawyers, Paralegals, Secretaries and support staff. Do your research about the firms that you apply at as well. There's a website that rate law firms. Good Luck. P.S. It's very expensive to live in Los Angeles, so you want to make sure you're making at least 60K a year to be able to afford a cool place to live. No L.A. is full of paralegals and attorneys, I don麓t recommend for you to come to LA, stay where ever you are it might be for the best. |
