I'm a law student. I would like to ask as to what field of law is it better to practice?

immigration? corporate law? litigation? what else?? help!!
i'll be graduating this 2008 and will take the Philippine Bar Exam on that same year..

What do you like? If you practice, you are going to be spending way too much time at work to do something you don't like. If you are not sure, go with either a small practice (or solo practitioner) who does a little of everything and see what you enjoy. When I was in law school, I totally clicked during my criminal and civil procedure classes and knew I wanted to be a litigator (though I now also do appeals and no criminal work...) If you take the Phillipine bar, you can probably only practice law there so also look at what is in demand there. Good luck. Source(s): I am a lawyer in Florida
