Can the person who interviews you for a postion at work take that positon? |
ok i interviewed for a job that was posted at work. There were 2 other people that applied and interviewed along with me. We have been waiting for an answer on who got the postion. Come to find out the person who did the interviewing and didnt apply for the postion got the postion!!! Does that sound right t anyone?? I need some suggestion or feed back on this matter. that doesn't sound right at all. while they are not required to give the position to anyone who interviews, they cannot legally give it to someone who does not (particularly when that person is the one conducting said interviews). i would suggest taking the matter up with both human resources as well as your union representative (if you have one). you might also consider contacting the better business bureau (and/or a lawyer if you feel it's worth it). good luck! There's no other suggestion we can give you. You didn't get the job, get over it. it's perfectly legal. not ethical but legal and there is nothing that you can do about it. SORRY. They were the best qualified thats why they got the job. People need to stop with "Legally" what do they sit down and make up laws. It is a Private Enterprise they can do what ever they want to do, there is no legal about it Sure, why not, if the powers that be thought that this person was the most qualified. |
