Which major should I choose in order to pursue a law degree?

I was thinking English but if I decide to no longer pursue Law I would not want to be stuck with an English Degree. My real choice is Criminal Justice but wonder how well that will prepare me for Law School. Are any suggestions from Lawyers or Law students? Or anybody actually.

Law schools generally want a diverse class. Any major is fine. My class had a former professional musician and a pre-med degree, among others. Law touches every aspect of life, so any major brings something to the class. Basically, take what you find interesting. You'll find Criminal Justice only marginally more useful than Economics if you don't want to practice Criminal Law.

The classes that would really give you an edge would be: Logic, Debate (which probably demands Logic), Latin, and anything with a lot of writing.
I think it's Political Science
Rhetoric is good for becoming a lawyer.
There is no right or wrong major to choose in college/university if you are considering law school. I think you should choose one that, if you decide not to go to law school, you will still be able to find a decent-paying job for after you graduate.
Major in something you enjoy. You'll do better in the classes and get better grades. That will help you get into law school. Pre-law, legal studies, criminal justice, etc. are wasted majors for getting into law school.
I'm an attorney.
Government/Political Science are the BEST majors. English, History, Speech Comm. are all good too. Since you aren't required to have a specific major, just choose a major/minor combination that will give you a lot of experience in analytical problem solving and critical thinking, writing, and speaking confidently. Also, join extracurricular groups that will make you look good for application purposes and take LSAT prep courses as early as possible.
