IS there any legislation to stop social boycott ???? India, see details? |
IF some family is facing social boycott because one female member of that family work as a Bartender; nearby shopkeepers refuse to sale goods & items to them, school head master cut the name of children of that family from school ; is there any legislation to solve that problem in India???? no there is no such legislation. secondaly if u say that a faimily is facing boycott because one member is a BARTENDER u are making up a story. Bartenders, now a days, in good hotels are highly paid and respected lot. I I don't know. You should start by checking with the members of your community in India that have the power to submit that legislation and ask them. If they haven't done so, ask them why not. But I do know that legislation may not be the answer. Not every country is able to make legislation to prevent something like this. If the mores of that community dictate that women don't work as bartenders, then it may be time for that individual to move to a community that respects women and knows they can hold any job they desire. If you want to affect a change, changing things on a legal level is not the way to get started. The community who believes that her family is being wronged needs to step up. If people stopped going to stores that refused the sale to members of that family, the store would start selling to that family. If you don't change the mind of the community, you are not going to be able to enact legislation. |
