What would be a good objective to write on my resume for a corrections officer?

What would be a good objective to write on my resume for a corrections officer?

Self motivation! The fact you work well in fast paced and stress-full environments. They read resumes if you do not submit one you will not get an interview. Tell them in your interview your looking for a rewarding and challenging career. Also tell them you are a very fast learner and you feel that you would be a great asset to a already successful company. Source(s): I am a Corrections officer for a private company. Lecanto FL

I would suggest you cut out the whole "Objective" section of your resume. It's an old way of doing things (rarely, if ever, used anymore) and it makes it look like you don't have very much experience with writing a resume. Plus, they already know that YOUR objective is to get a position with them. There's no need to write it if they already know it. This should also leave you more space to fill in other, more important details about you and your past experiences. Good luck!
Just finished about 30 rounds of interviews with employers and received a full-time offer for employment at a top firm last week. I also spent well over 100 hours on my resume.
"To gain employment as an entry level corrections officer." Where are you applying at? Most correction jobs are civil service, typically they don't take resumes. Keep in mind "Objective" is you telling the employer what you want to do, what your goal is. Your work ethics, abilities, and overall how a great of a worker you are goes in the cover letter and "Skills" section...Good Luck!
